Cody Goloubef is a retired professional hockey player from Oakville who played 13 seasons professionally. He played in the NHL with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Colorado Avalanche, and Ottawa Senators, was an AHL All-Star, and played in Switzerland’s top league with SC Bern. Cody also represented his country internationally, earning Olympic bronze in 2018, a Spengler Cup championship in 2017, and IIHF World Junior gold in 2008. Cody is passionate about youth hockey and player development. His coaching philosophy centers on teaching the game the right way through a big-picture approach—building strong fundamentals, adding a wide range of skills to each player’s toolbox, and helping kids become complete players while having fun and developing a love for the game.

Kevin brings elite playing experience and proven leadership to the Oakville Reign program. He developed through the Mississauga Terriers and Toronto Marlies organizations, earning a draft pick from the OHL London Knights before competing in the OJHL with the St. Michael’s Buzzers and Milton Merchants. Kevin went on to play four years of NCAA Division I hockey at Clarkson University, serving as team captain in his senior season. Kevin later competed professionally in the ECHL with Las Vegas.
In addition to his playing career, Kevin has four years of youth coaching experience and currently serves on the Board of the Oakville Hornets Girls Hockey Association, demonstrating his continued commitment to growing the game within the community. Kevin has a lifelong passion for hockey and strongly believes in the positive impact team sports have on young athletes. As a coach, he is dedicated to creating a fun, competitive, and development-focused environment where players build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and cultivate a lasting love for the game.

Billy brings 14 years of OHL coaching experience, including four seasons as Head Coach of the Niagara IceDogs. During his tenure, he became second all-time in franchise wins and the youngest head coach in team history to reach 100 victories. Nominated for OHL coach of the year in 2018, Burke then led the IceDogs to the 2019 Central Division Title and helped guide the team to two Eastern Conference Championships, while developing numerous players who have advanced to the AHL and NHL levels. Before transitioning into coaching, Billy competed at the AAA, Junior A, OHL, and U Sports levels. A standout two-sport varsity athlete at Queen’s University, he played both football and hockey for 3 years and served as captain of the men’s hockey program in his fourth year, demonstrating leadership and dedication at the highest university level. Billy is passionate about teaching the game and is excited to help the next generation of players build strong foundations and begin their hockey journeys.

Andrew MacDonald is a retired professional hockey player from Judique, Nova Scotia who played 13 seasons professionally, amassing over 865 games across North America and Europe. Drafted by the New York Islanders in the 6th round of the 2006 NHL Draft, Andrew played his junior hockey with the Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL), where he was a key part of their 2005–06 league championship team alongside future NHL stars Keith Yandle and Brad Marchand. He earned AHL All-Star recognition in his second professional season before going on to establish himself as a reliable NHL defenseman with both the New York Islanders and the Philadelphia Flyers, earning the role of alternate captain with each franchise. Andrew also represented Team Canada at the 2019 Spengler Cup in Davos, Switzerland, helping Canada claim the tournament championship.
Since retiring, Andrew has dedicated himself to minor hockey development, working hands-on with young players and deepening his understanding of the game at the grassroots level. He is passionate about building a program where players develop strong fundamentals, compete at a high level, and grow both on and off the ice.

Jay Bergeron is a high-performance hockey skills instructor, specializing in elite player development for athletes of all ages and levels. With a proven track record of developing competitive players, he has been a trusted figure in the hockey development space since 2010, previously working out of Ice2Ice and Cutting Edge Development Centre.
With over 25,000 hours of on-ice instructional experience, Jay has designed and led advanced specialized training programs focused on skating, stickhandling, shooting, and overall game-specific situations. His detail-oriented approach ensures players not only improve their technical skills, but also develop the confidence, hockey IQ, and habits required to perform at the highest levels.
His training model is tailored to each player’s current stage of development, with customized plans built around individual goals and long-term growth. This personalized approach allows every player to maximize their potential and follow a development path suited to their unique journey.
Players who train with Jay consistently leave the ice more dynamic, more efficient, and better prepared to compete and equipped with the tools to elevate every aspect of their game.
Jay’s playing experience includes earning a full NCAA Division I scholarship to UMass Lowell, competing in the OHL with the Niagara IceDogs, and playing U SPORTS hockey with the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks.
Adam Wills
Adam is a 2011 born goalie from Oakville, who has played AAA since U8 for the Oakville Rangers and the Burlington Eagles. This coming season, he will be playing for the Everest Academy U16 AAA team. He comes from a goalie family, his father Tom has 40 years experience as a goalie/coach and currently manages goalie development for the Oakville Rangers, and his younger brother is also a AAA Ranger goalie.
He enjoys working with younger goalies, watching them improve quickly with good guidance. He stresses a foundation of skating and focuses on fundamental skills while having fun. This past season he instructed a number of different U7 to U9 Oakville Rangers teams, helping over a dozen young goalies improve.
